Chairman's Message
As we enter our third year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of CALPI who have contributed their time and efforts to aid in the growth of our organization. It has, at times, been most painful, moving form our very earliest embryonic stage to infancy, and being a parent, I know the adolescent stage isn't going to be a walk in the park either. However, with the increasing membership, I truly believe that their active involvement will make the growing years somewhat easier, and certainly more fruitful in increasing the distinction of the Licensed Private investigator.
Never before has there been a more fragile equilibrium between security issues and privacy issues than exists today. The only way we can meet these new challenges that arise daily, is to do it as a well coordinated team. individualism is a laudable trait, however, its not one that will permit the survival of our industry, as we know, in this ever changing society. We must reach out to those Licensed Investigators who have yet to join our ranks. We require their participation to move us to a higher level of negotiating strength. We are not yet capable of employing our own lobbyist, so absent that, we must demonstrate to the legislative body of our state, that not only are we united in our efforts, but we are of sufficient active numbers to influence and gather support form the powers that be.
Thank you again for your efforts, and I look forward to another productive year for our association.
Bernie Soldate, Chairman
