Meet John McLaine
Calpi not only added a new member to its roster, but one that is willing to step up and actively serve as member of the Board of Directors. Let me tell you a little about John.
John McLaine holds a B.S. Degree from the University of Bridgeport and a Master's degree from the University of New Haven. He taught in the Criminal Justice program at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, at Norwalk Community College, and he has been an adjunct professor of sociology at the University of Bridgeport since 1987. he teaches courses in Social Problems, Criminology, White-Collar Crime, and Serial Killers.
In March of 2000, John, after serving 28 years with the Fairfield Police Department, retired with the rank of Captain. During his tenure, he had a wide range of responsibilities and experiences, including work as an undercover officer with the Statewide Narcotics Task Force, Commanding the Special Services Division, served as detective Lieutenant for twelve years, and in the capacity oversaw all criminal and non criminal investigations and supervised the daily operation of the Detective and Youth Services Bureaus. There is more, and by now, you can see John has had an interesting career, and brings a great deal of experience to the table.
John received his P.I License in October 2000. his Fairfield-based firm, JEM Investigations, LLC specializes in background investigations, criminal defense, witness locates, white-collar crime and divorce and custody cases.
John is an avid skier and golfer, and an instrument -rated pilot. He and Jacklyn, his wife of 33 years have 2 children. Sean, 24 who is a patrol officer with the Ridgefield P.D> and their daughter Ryan, 19. who works in a salon in Westport.
